I actually spent a long time trying to find these photos. For some reason, I had deleted them, but after some googling, I found a software that would let me recover my photos (for free!). Here’s the handy-dandy link in case you ever lose any photos, too.
Anyways, two years ago, we spent a couple of weeks in Switzerland. Our destination was Davos, a small town that actually hosts the World Economic Forum (WEF). It’s also the highest city in Europe. Although it’s most famous for its ski resorts, I don’t know how to ski, but it’s also great for hiking and sight-seeing!

The hotel system is pretty nice — almost all the hotels there have a pass included that allows you to take full advantage of the transportation systems both up the mountains and to other nearby cities for free. The hotel we stayed at, the Sheraton, was right next to the mountains, so sometimes we’d hike in the mountains right behind our room, which also faced the woods. The streets have the distinct small, European feel, both in the architecture of the buildings and the overall layout of the city.
Perhaps the only downfall was the price of everything (though, admittedly, most things in Europe are so much more expensive than here in good ol’ Texas), but a slice of pizza cost twenty Swiss francs! But other than that, we spent a lot of time climbing and hiking, which I highly recommend you doing, because the scenery is absolutely stunning. Davo’s weather is unpredictable too, and an umbrella is always good to have on hand. Coming up, part II of the Switzerland series!
Yes, Switzerland is beautiful, and you took some extremely stunning pictures. I went there around 5 months ago, in the Valais Countryside near the mountains. It’s one of my favorite places, this post was stunning…

Oh, that looks gorgeous…I’ve only ever been to the main cities in Switzerland (Geneva, Lausanne, Bern, Luzerne, Zurich) but I’d love to visit other smaller places in the country, including Davos!

How incredible to have the mountains right behind the hotel, and a great inclusion with the travel pass!x

Ooh, Switzerland looks really pretty! Especially with all the greenery on the mountains. I’ve only ever been to Europe once and it was to England, and it’s nice that you get to travel to beautiful locations like that 🙂

it was definitely a wonderful experience to have gone — it’s so beautiful! Where in England did you visit? I went to London, but it was raining the whole time so we didn’t really get to see much, unfortunately.

I went to a couple different places: Bath, Manchester, Stratford-upon-Avon, and London herself! There was a huge storm when I was in Bath, but other than that the culture and the theatre scene is amazing. I got to see the Globe version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream when I was there, which was super cool.
